EQUAL ACCESS ISSUES

One of the goals of the CESOL website is to promote the use of technology in the field. Our students (and teachers) need to learn basic computer skills in order use them with such things as educational software, word-processing and the Internet, but we also need to ensure that newcomers, as well as the communities they live in, have access to the technology necessary to survive, compete and take leadership in this new information age in which we live. "Knowledge is power" and the less access folks have to information the less they can be fully contributing members of our society.
